What happens at SLP?

Throughout the week, participants will increase their knowledge on a variety of topics including substance misuse, healthy relationships, conflict resolution, peer mentoring, and health and wellness. The program connects participants with their local peers and school and community action organizations so they can channel this new energy toward the betterment of their home communities.

Does it work?

In 2012, the Summer Leadership Program was endorsed as a Promising Practice by the NH Center for Excellence’s Service to Science review of substance misuse prevention programs. We are currently in the midst of a multi-year evaluation project as we work toward full evidence-based endorsement.

How much does it cost?

Six days of residential training, lodging, meals, and all amenities at a cost of $900 per student. Scholarship opportunities are available.

How can my teen apply?
